Modular double block and bleed valve blocks are an ideal solution for compact shut-off and bleed valves in a one-piece forged housing and with a wide range of end connections, housing forms and valve variants. They form the interface between process and measuring instrument and allow the shut-off, bleeding and protection of instruments or transducers. The compact design reduces not only weight and costs, but also the number of possible leak points in the system.

Modular Valves for Single Shut-off – SB Series

Application

The modular Hy-Lok SB Series double block valves serve for simple shut-off and bleeding of pressure measuring instruments. They are installed directly on the process flange or boiler. Instruments can be installed directly on the valve outlet or alternatively connected via pressure gauge or transmitter pipelines. The double block & bleed valve blocks serve also to protect instrumentation during the process.

Flexible Instrumentation with Differential Pressure Measurement

Hy-Lok SB Series double block valves are designed for different instrument configurations.

The double block valves serves for simple shut-off, the instruments are designed for high pressures and temperatures. In addition to the valve block, Hy-Lok offers instruments such as shut-off valves (ball cocks) as well as globe valves and mounted valves as needle valves.

Mounted bow valve

Temperature: -57°C to 550°C (-70.6°F to 1022°F) with graphite
Pressure: up to 414 bar (6,000 psi)
Spindle construction: non-rotating, self-centering, replaceable
Bore: 5 mm (0.2 inch)
Packing material: graphite (standard) or PFTE


Straight pass needle valve

Temperature: -57°C to 550°C (-70.6°F to 1022°F) with graphite
Pressure: up to 690 bar (10,000 psi)
Spindle construction: non-rotating, self-centering, replaceable

Modular Valves for Double Shut-off – DB Series

Application

The modular DB Series valves serve for double shut-off and bleeding of pressure measuring instruments. They are installed directly on the process flange or boiler. Instruments can be installed directly on the valve outlet or alternatively connected via pressure gauge or transmitter pipelines. The double block & bleed valve blocks serve also to protect instrumentation during the process. Special designs allow sampling and the injection of chemicals via sampling probes or hollow injection shafts.

Monoflange Valve – MN Series

Application

The Hy-Lok monoflange adapters - in the same way as the modular valves - serve for the initial shut-off of pressure measuring instruments. Application

The Hy-Lok initial shut-off valves serve for the initial shut-off of pressure measuring instruments. Depending on the version, they are employed for the shut-off (RV4 Series), shut-off and bleeding (RV5 Series) or double shut-off and bleeding of instruments (RV6 Series).
